Our Classes

Each class offers age-specific activities designed to teach children in a safe, loving, Christian environment. We strive to teach them both educational and Biblical foundations.
Bumblebees
Ages: 2+
Class Size: 10

Bumblebee students start at age 2. These young students are just entering the school environment, and they are learning basic self-help and social skills. Bumblebees focus on lining up, waiting patiently for a turn, sitting at circle time, cleaning up after themselves, and following directions. Each day, Bumblebees will enjoy free time to explore new friendships and develop social skills listed above. Letters and numbers are introduced, and fine motor skills are developed during a daily craft time. Circle time consists of a variety of songs and finger plays that promote language development. Circle time is also a great opportunity to talk about the Bible and the love of Jesus. Indoor/outdoor recess, chapel, lunch, and rest time are also scheduled into each day. A bumblebee student will need a nap mat and napping supplies each day. Diapers/pull-ups and wipes are to be supplied by the parent.

Chapel
At Sunshine Kids, our daily chapel is a time of worship that involves all of our students.  We come together each day and sing special songs of praise that are easy for preschoolers to learn. We talk about our Bible theme of the week and learn Bible verses.  We also use this time to reinforce the letter of the week.  Chapel time incorporates the use of video stories, music videos, Bible-based storytelling and skits, books, puppets, and cooperative, hands-on activities to help our students learn more about the Bible and Christian values as well as letters and numbers.
Extended Care
Extended care is available each day. Parents may choose early drop off, late pick up, or both.  Extended care is also offered on an as-needed basis for those occasions when you just need a little extra time in your day!
